Job Panda

A Telegram bot for getting job postings

Job Panda is a Telegram bot that utilizes web scraping to fetch job postings based on user requests. This was the first project I embarked on when I decided to dive headfirst into learning programming. The inspiration came from a software engineer on LinkedIn who was learning a new language (Rust), and their first project was a web scraper. I decided to take it a step further by integrating the web scraper into a bot to enhance its functionality.Unfortunately, the website I was scraping has since disallowed bots from accessing its data, and I have to respect their policy. Despite this, creating Job Panda was an incredible learning experience and a great first project.

Vatsca: call Panda

An automated call analytics application

In fulfillment of my bachelor’s degree in Electronics, I undertook a SIWES (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme) program and was placed at VAS Technologies, a small IT services company in Abuja, Nigeria. During the monthly meeting for July, the MD/CEO requested the engineering support team to provide detailed analytics of call supports for the month. Lacking an automated method to generate this report, I took the initiative to develop Vastca. Vastca is a desktop application that automates the retrieval of call details, saving the data into an Excel sheet for further analytics. This tool significantly streamlines the process for support engineers, ensuring efficient and accurate reporting.
